Susan Yager

Susan Yager, an ISU faculty member since 1991, joined the Honors Program as Faculty Director in July 2008. She has taught a number of Honors Seminars, including several on the Harry Potter series. Among her assignments as Faculty Director are curricular development and supporting faculty interactions with Honors programs and students. An Associate Professor in English with a specialty in the poetry of Geoffrey Chaucer, Susan also has a research interest in the intersection of pedagogy and medieval studies. Susan has a B.A. and M.A. from Catholic University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She taught at Penn, Columbia College in Chicago, and Carleton College before coming to ISU. She has also served as Associate Director of ISU's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for several years. Among Susan's interests are reading, traveling, and sports – she has season tickets for ISU women's basketball.
