University Honors Program

Jobs & Outcomes

"Honors helped me bring out my best and challenged me to look beyond the dorm and next homework problem. It gave me the confidence to tackle new things and to go to new places."
—Mark Law, Professor and co-chair, Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering, University of Florida

A University Honors education is ideal preparation for what lies ahead, whether it be enrolling in graduate school or entering the professional work force. Creating strong relationships with faculty mentors and gaining hands-on experience during your undergraduate years are important assets when you are thinking about your post-graduate options. While many Honors students choose to attend graduate or professional school, others prefer to enter the working world directly. Honors graduates have achieved excellence in fields ranging from Government and Military Service, to Business and Finance, to Aerospace Engineering. Just as important, Honors graduates are outstanding civic leaders, well represented in local, national, and international service activities and organizations.
